OBJECTIVE:
Draped in “Elegance.”  From reception area to seated ballroom for 350 attendees, this hi-end black tie event provided the atmosphere of royalty and the social elite.  Crystal chandeliers and candelabras compliment the lavish red velvet décor.

CHALLENGES:
Transform a convention center meeting room into an elegant black tie affair in a very short time frame.
• Very plain meeting room in a convention center.
• Very low 15’ ceilings.
• Extensive set up began at 3am due to another event in the room which included installation of all production, staging and lighting.
• Hang crystal chandeliers over dinner tables with minimal hang points.
• Install main stage, show control and production in time to rehearse name entertainment prior to cocktail reception.
• Create upscale cocktail reception inside room while hiding room for dinner.
• Event room to be used next day for same groups’ general session meetings.

  SOLUTION:
Create a look and feel that could be installed in a very tight set-up window that portrayed the sophisticated setting the client was trying to achieve.
• Create a detailed cad design and load in schedule to maximize multiple teams working in a small space.
• Substantial labor call to accomplish large install in short time frame.
• Installed truss system to support chandeliers and moving lights.
• Draped entire room floor to ceiling to disguise meeting room.
 

• Created false wall to separate cocktail reception from Dinner.
• Gold velvet drape, bars and tables in cocktail reception.
• Red Velvet drape, 35 tables, crystal candelabras, specialty chairs.
• 2 screens, staging, lighting, audio and video.
